There is something quietly confident about this candelabra. It stands on its own terms — an upright stem, four outstretched arms, and tiered crossbars that give it a measured, architectural presence. And then, softening all of that structure, the suspended metal heart pendants catch the light and shift gently with the air. It is a piece that balances two things well: disciplined Scandinavian ironwork and something a little more personal.

Designed by Gunnar Ander for Ystad-Metall in Sweden, this is a recognised mid-century design from one of Sweden’s most respected metalwork studios. Ystad-Metall produced decorative ironwork that combined craft tradition with the clean sensibilities of the era, and this candelabra is a fine example of that approach. The four arms hold standard taper candles, making it as functional today as when it was made.
