This rare antique German mohair teddy bear from approximately 1930 represents a charming example of early 20th-century craftsmanship. Originally designed as a functional “hot water bottle bear,” it features press studs on the back where the bottle was inserted—a testament to the ingenuity of early German teddy bear makers.

- Fully jointed with five working disk joints
- Golden mohair exterior with black embroidered nose and mouth
- Original glass eyes and non-working growler (rattles when tipped)
- Press studs on back for hot water bottle insertion (now replaced with kapok)
- Wood wool (excelsior) stuffing with replaced kapok filling

- Height: Approximately 43 cm (17 inches) tall

- Good vintage condition showing signs of love and use
- Approximately 90% of mohair coat intact
- Pads have been covered
- Wear around muzzle, thinning on one side, small holes near nose
