This Chinese Yixing-style teapot from the 1980s–1990s is shaped entirely as a gnarled tree trunk, with a charming squirrel perched naturally among the branches. Crafted from unglazed Zisha-style clay, the surface carries rich bark-like textures worked with considerable skill. Bamboo-inspired elements wind through the design alongside an organically shaped handle, giving the whole piece the character of a miniature woodland scene rather than a conventional teapot. The sculptural finial on the lid continues the naturalistic theme, and the lid itself fits snugly and securely.
