This tall cylindrical vase by Scheurich Keramik is a confident example of mid-century West German pottery at its most collectable. The body is finished in a glossy beige glaze interrupted by a dark brown band, hand-decorated with bold white looped floral motifs — a combination that captures the earthy, expressive character that has made Scheurich one of the most recognised names among collectors of this era.

The vase retains its original Scheurich label and is stamped on the base, providing clear provenance for collectors who value authenticity. The fat lava aesthetic — characterised by its rich, textured glaze surfaces and warm palette — has remained a consistent draw for those furnishing retro interiors or building dedicated West German ceramics collections.
