A beautifully crafted vintage Swedish wooden bench featuring decorative carved trestle supports and a colourful traditional needlepoint upholstered seat.

The warm-toned wooden frame has shaped end rails, pierced trestle supports and an intricately cut central stretcher, reflecting the character of traditional Scandinavian folk furniture. The carved details give the bench an architectural quality while retaining the simplicity and practicality of rustic craftsmanship.

The seat is upholstered in traditional Swedish needlepoint with a repeating geometric floral pattern in rich shades of red, orange, olive green, cream and brown. A textured brown border and decorative brass-tone studs complete the upholstery, creating a lovely contrast against the aged wooden frame.

Compact yet substantial, this bench works beautifully in a hallway, bedroom or country house interior. The combination of carved woodwork and colourful textile craftsmanship makes it an individual piece of Scandinavian furniture with plenty of history and character.
