This mid-century Japanese eggshell porcelain tea service is a quietly beautiful example of fine decorative chinaware. Finished in a classic blue and white palette with gold trim, each piece carries a delicate hand-applied transfer depicting a men fishing scene — a motif that speaks to the refined aesthetic of its era. The eggshell-thin walls give the porcelain a translucent quality that sets it apart from heavier everyday tableware, and the full complement of pieces makes this a genuinely complete and usable set.
