There is something quietly satisfying about a piece that does exactly what it looks like it should. This blue art glass vase and tealight holder by Kosta Boda is one of those objects — small, solid, and completely sure of itself. Hand-blown in Sweden using the meticulous technique that has defined Kosta Boda’s reputation, it carries the weight and warmth of genuine mid-century Scandinavian craft in a form that fits naturally on a windowsill, a shelf, or a dining table.

The deep blue colour shifts beautifully depending on the light — cool and still by daylight, luminous and warm when a tealight burns inside. The heavy art glass construction gives the piece a substantial, considered feel entirely different from lighter decorative glass. This is an object that earns its place.
