Description
An antique wooden strongbox on its original Baroque Revival-style stand, featuring decorative metal bindings, side carrying handles and an ornate lock plate. Dating to the early 1900s, this substantial piece combines traditional craftsmanship with the decorative character of period furniture.
The removable chest opens to reveal twelve individual storage compartments with red fabric trim, possibly originally intended for valuables, silverware or personal possessions. The original wooden stand features finely turned legs, shaped cross-stretchers and traditional bun feet.
A distinctive piece of antique furniture, equally suited to a country house interior, hallway or living space where it can serve as decorative storage or a statement accent.

Condition
Good antique condition with age-related wear, surface marks and natural patina. All components are original. One bun foot has been cut to allow placement against a corner, as shown in the photographs.
The original lock is present, but the key is missing and the locking mechanism has not been tested.
