A large handmade Swedish studio pottery bowl featuring an unusual three-dimensional coastal harbour scene.
A small rowboat, bird and jetty emerge from the surface of the bowl, surrounded by layered blue and earthy glazes that create the impression of water, shoreline and landscape. More ceramic artwork than conventional serving bowl, it has wonderful depth and texture when viewed from different angles.
Created and signed by Swedish ceramic artist Annika Söderström, this is an individual artisan piece with strong Scandinavian coastal character.
