Description
Antique French Art Nouveau vase dating to approximately 1890–1910, made from luminous opal glass with a soft pink graduated finish and hand-painted botanical decoration.
The tall trumpet-shaped body has a beautifully ruffled rim and rests on a pedestal foot, creating the elegant flowing silhouette associated with French decorative glass of the Art Nouveau period.
Unusually, the vase is constructed in two sections, allowing the upper section to be removed from the base. The underside is signed.
A substantial antique glass piece at 29 cm tall, particularly suited to collections of French Art Nouveau, antique glass and decorative arts.
