Description
A vintage Kosta Boda glass hippo designed by Bertil Vallien as part of the Swedish glassworks’ collectible Zoo animal series.
Made from clear glass with a softly rounded body and textured detailing, the hippo has the wonderfully simple, sculptural form characteristic of Vallien’s small animal designs. Its compact scale makes it ideal for display on a shelf, desk or amongst a collection of Scandinavian art glass.
A lovely example of Swedish glass design with appeal for both Kosta Boda collectors and lovers of vintage animal figures.
